About CHEF NAK
Cambodian Cuisine, Culture & Hospitality
CHEF NAK is a Cambodian culinary and cultural brand creating exceptional experiences that connect guests to Cambodia through food, stories, heritage, and heartfelt hospitality.
Meet Chef Nak
Chef Nak, born Rotanak Ros, is a Cambodian chef, author, researcher, and cultural advocate dedicated to preserving, elevating, and sharing Cambodia’s culinary heritage.
Her work is rooted in years of learning from Cambodian families, elders, home cooks, ingredients, traditions, and regional foodways. Through research, cookbooks, culinary experiences, education, and cultural storytelling, she works to ensure that Cambodian food knowledge is not only preserved, but understood, practiced, and carried forward.
For Chef Nak, food is more than nourishment. It carries memory, identity, knowledge, hospitality, and a sense of place.
Our Journey
-
What began with Chef Nak’s personal journey has grown into a wider Cambodian culinary and cultural brand.
Today, Chef Nak brings together culinary research, publishing, private dining, immersive cooking, cultural stays, education, media, events, and cultural exchange—all guided by the same purpose: to help Cambodian cuisine remain living, respected, relevant, and proudly shared with the world.
Experiences may be personally hosted by Chef Nak or led by Chef Nak-trained chefs and cultural hosts, allowing the work to grow while remaining rooted in her direction, standards, and philosophy.
-
Chef Nak exists to preserve, elevate, and share Cambodia’s living culinary heritage—from everyday home cooking and regional traditions to refined royal cuisine.
We believe food carries culture, memory, identity, and knowledge. By documenting, practicing, teaching, and sharing Cambodian cuisine, we aim to help these traditions remain understood, respected, and alive for future generations.
-
We see Cambodian cuisine as a living cultural practice—not a museum artifact.
Our work begins with respect for heritage and traditional knowledge. We research with care, cook with memory, learn from people and place, and allow traditions to continue evolving thoughtfully.
Preserve by practicing. Develop by understanding. Share with meaning.
